Nancy, pet sitter extraordinaire, cared for our house and our beloved dog Bunny for one month. We found her to be:
- (first & foremost) very knowledgeable about caring for an animal
- sincerely caring, affectionate and sensitive to BUnny’s needs
- very communicative with us (off on vacation) as to the status of our home and our pet (called, sent pics, texted etc.)
- responsive to any requests we had i.e. open a piece of mail, mail us something we needed etc.
- took Bunny on daily walks
- contacted us if she felt Bunny was acting in an unusual manner
When we returned home, our house was immaculate and Bunny was a happy and healthy doggie!
Nancy is reliable, responsible, extremely kind and sensitive to the needs of others.
I can honestly say that anyone who hires Nancy to care for their pet or their home would be lucky to get her!!!!

Nancy is a wonderful person and a fantastic cat sitter. A good friend highly recommended her to us. She was very conscientious about dealing with our four cats and their three different diets. She took the time to meet the cats and understand their needs a few weeks before coming to cat/house sit. Nancy gave them regular play sessions and even continued the clicker training I started up. We appreciated and enjoyed the entertaining photos and reports about how everyone was doing.
Henry, our mischievous, nutty Siamese cat missed her for a few days after we returned. He wanted his Nancy back. His reaction and the blasé way our cats reacted upon our return, were clear indications that our cat sitter outdid us in pampering the cats.
Trustworthy, conscientious, helpful, kind… It’s rare to be able to say such things about one person. For the first time ever, I had no worries about our cats while we were on vacation.

Nancy Newton came highly recommended to me by a client of mine as a “cat whisperer”, and I can imagine that she is the same with dogs! I was excited and relieved that she was able to stay at my house last December for 4 days to care for my very shy and timid little cat, Mausi.
After meeting Nancy for the first time, I knew that I could trust her with my little fur-baby. Her warmth, her passion for animals, her outgoing nature and her effort to uniquely connect to my cat’s personality and needs showed me that she is a true professional.
While I was away, she gave me frequent updates via text and even offered to facetime with me in order to see and to speak to my cat. My cat does not trust and connect with strangers easily, but Nancy managed to win her over in just a short period of time and she was truly wonderful with her! Mausi got groomed a lot and found a new playmate. After my return, I was surprised how calm, content and happy she was!
On the day of my return, which involved a 7-hour road trip, Nancy even cooked a yummy dinner for me, which we enjoyed together over a nice conversation. She left the house spick and span!
Now, that I know Nancy a bit better, I can really sense that she loves animals and therefore takes her role as a caregiver for pets very seriously. I can highly recommend her! Your pets are in excellent hands with her!

Nancy has been our cat sitter for many years. We go out of town frequently, and when she stays at our house with our 3 cats, we know they are in good hands!! Nancy has been available to house sit and pet sit for a day or two, or for longer stretches, and we trust her to manage the house and the cats while we are gone. I have recommended her to several friends and neighbors. Nancy is good at communicating with us and often will send us photos, with personalized messages from each of the kitties. She takes care of our cats lovingly, has offered some new behavioral strategies (such as how to get our kitten to stop biting), and sometimes even brings the cats a special treat or new toy!

We were adopted by a cat (Kaley) who becomes ill when stressed, which includes being left alone. We would come home from our trip to a sick cat. Thus, having someone just come feed Kaley is not enough, we need someone stay the night.
Nancy was referred to us by a neighbor. What a blessing!
Nancy has become our friend. She is very personable, dependable, honest, respectful and is very loved by Kaley. She handles all the quirks of owned humans and their pets with a smile. And we return home to a healthy and happy Kaley.
When we’re away, we no longer worry about her care – we KNOW she is being well cared for. And we don’t worry about our home, either.

Nancy cared for my 17-year-old, very reclusive cat Cody for almost a week, and although he spent the first few days under the futon (standard behavior), she got him to keep eating, kept him entertained, got him to play even when he wouldn’t come out in the open, and ultimately had him voluntarily on her lap and sleeping with her. For this cat, that’s remarkable. I have friends who are dying to meet him, but he’s Howard Hughes reincarnated, closing the hatch on his safe room when he hears unknown footsteps. No one gets near him without days of effort. Also, he’s severely underweight (he sees a vet), has a good appetite but seems to forget to eat, is very bothered by the slightest sounds, and seems likely to choose starvation over meeting a new human, though he has no extra pounds to lose. In short, he’s endangered. So I avoided leaving him overnight until I had to go out of town, and luckily found Nancy by a recommendation, and plan to use her services again, and hopefully we’ll discover Cody remembers her.
